Shape, line and words "I dont analyse my painting too much - I rely more on the intuitive" She begins with a line on paper but thats not really the beginning...... The titles of each piece is a vital part of the creation. they are often quirky words read in a book or picked up and noted here and there, like the name of a town or village from a holiday somewhere or overheard snippets of conversation. Some are even made up. Mixing colours and paints For Susanne the choice of colour and and more particularly its quality is extremely important. She preferres to mix her own using concentrated pigments, oxides, marble dust and quartzdust binding them with acrylic medium. |
